No dia 14 de agosto, o prefeito André Pacheco visitou a EMEF Vinte de Setembro para participar do primeiro dia do trabalho do Projeto Book Truck em Viamão. Trata-se do furgão/biblioteca itinerante que percorre várias cidades do Estado, incentivando o hábito da leitura em adultos e crianças. Além de uma sala de leitura climatizada e um acervo de livros com cerca de 600 títulos, que atende a todas as idades, incluindo audiolivros e exemplares em Braille, o projeto oferece uma área externa com espaço de convivência aos visitantes e para atividades culturais. O prefeito saudou a iniciativa do Book Truck para fomentar o interesse dos alunos do município ao hábito da leitura. “A imaginação faz as pessoas sonharem e a leitura tem um papel fundamental nesse processo. Quem lê conhece novos horizontes e, se o livro for até nossas crianças, é melhor ainda. Agradeço ao projeto por fazer parte desse processo aqui na nossa cidade”, comentou Pacheco.
