Agora, a luta é buscar os recursos orçamentários e necessários para efetivação da Duplicação do Caminho do Meio, com o convencimento e aprovação pelo Governo Federal para acrescentar a demanda viamonense no Orçamento Geral da União. Na segunda-feira (7), um encontro do deputado Bohn Gass (PT-RS), prefeito de Viamão, André Pacheco (PSDB), vereador Luís Armando Azambuja (PT), e o secretário Geral de Governo, Nilton Magalhães (PSDB), tratou de uma força tarefa de mobilização em prol da duplicação do Caminho do Meio. “A proposta é conquistar apoio de toda a classe política regional e local, em busca de apoio de Brasília para essa reivindicação de nossa comunidade”, ressaltou o prefeito André Pacheco, que promete liderar essa luta e peregrinar apoios entre os aliados. “Já temos o projeto pronto e aprovado, e já conseguimos chegar ao caderno de obras do Governo Federal, através da LDO. Agora, vamos buscar os recursos orçamentários e necessários para efetivação da Duplicação do Caminho do Meio.
