No dia 18 de janeiro, o vereador Márcio Katofa (PSB) recebeu em seu gabinete a visita do líder Givanildo Gu, considerado um militante do esporte em Viamão. Morador do Bairro Monte Alegre, Givanildo sempre trabalhou em prol do esporte. Na visita, ambos falaram de ideias e projetos relacionados ao esporte viamonense. Juntamente com o vereador Márcio Katofa, Givanildo busca criar uma nova liderança política para a cidade de Viamão.
