Cada cidadão foi convidado a ser um protagonista no seu bairro e denunciar quando ver alguém contribuindo para focos de lixo. “Temos a coleta domiciliar regularmente, contamos com mais de 200 pontos de descarte de lixo seco em prédios públicos, escolas e unidades de saúde. Hoje limpamos, mas amanhã o lixo volta para as ruas. Precisamos da colaboração de todos para que nossa cidade permaneça limpa”, explica o vice-prefeito e secretário de Obras e Serviços Públicos, Valdir Elias, o Russinho. Além de Russinho, também fizeram parte da ação o secretário interino da Saúde, Marcos Dantas, os secretários Geral de Governo, Nilton Magalhães, de Educação, Carlos Bennech, de Meio Ambiente, Gilberto Fraga, e os vereadores Jessé Sangalli, Maninho Fauri e Igor Bernardes, além de mais de 60 voluntários. Vários focos de lixo foram retirados. O lixo deu lugar a mudas de árvores nativas e placas de conscientização. As equipes caminharam por diversos pontos da grande Santa Isabel, conversando com os moradores e conscientizando sobre o descarte correto de lixo e os cuidados com a cidade, deixando a cidade livre de doenças como dengue, chikungunya e zika vírus.
