Serão cerca de três quilômetros de Faixa Azul, das paradas 38 até a 31, encontrando com a faixa exclusiva para ônibus da Avenida Bento Gonçalves, já em Porto Alegre. “Essa ação vai trazer mais agilidade para a mobilidade urbana, beneficiando as pessoas que trabalham ou estudam em Porto Alegre e sofrem com o congestionamento no horário de pico. É mais uma medida desta gestão para reduzir os congestionamentos, como aconteceu com o desvio dos ônibus intermunicipais, na entrada do Centro, para a Avenida Bento Gonçalves. Essa simples mudança fez com que cada viagem reduzisse 10 minutos. Agora, com a possibilidade de diminuição de mais 20 minutos dentro de um ônibus, serão 30 minutos que o viamonense vai ganhar por dia. Isso é qualidade de vida”, expressou o prefeito André Pacheco.
