Pensando nisso, o vereador do PSOL, Guto Lopes, encaminhou na quinta-feira (27), um projeto de lei, visando proibir a cobrança de taxa de religação nos serviços de água e energia elétrica no município. O Projeto de Lei 084/2017 se justifica, pois, além de se configurar uma receita adicional às empresas concessionárias de serviços essenciais à população e impor mais uma cobrança (além do pagamento da conta habitual e sua multa por atraso) ao contribuinte já em dificuldades financeiras, estes serviços citados na lei não se submetem ao rito natural e legal da cobrança aos inadimplentes, ou seja, dar continuidade ao fornecimento de água e energia elétrica ao usuário, que, eventualmente, não pôde arcar com o pagamento da sua conta de água e energia elétrica, e adotar medidas administrativas e/ou judiciais. “Por entender que a conduta de cobrança de religação por parte das concessionárias é abusiva, viola o Código de Defesa do Consumidor e dificulta a vida da população mais pobre, temos bastante esperança que os demais vereadores se sensibilizem e apoiem a aprovação deste projeto”, comentou Guto Lopes.
