No dia 9 de outubro, a Prefeitura de Viamão entregou à Casa da Sopa, 200 quilos de alimentos não perecíveis arrecadados no Baile dos 276 anos de Viamão. O prefeito André Pacheco, juntamente com o diretor-geral de Educação, Marco Aurélio Rocha, e a diretora administrativa de Educação, Vanja Macedo, entregou os alimentos a dona Dionísia Machado, 69 anos, que há 15 anos faz sopa para as crianças do Jardim Castelo. Todas as segundas, terças, quintas e sextas-feiras, são 65 crianças que chegam à casa de dona Dionísia para almoçar, no horário das 11h30 às 13h30. “A sopa é feita com a ajuda de doações. Tenho como ajudantes na cozinha há 12 anos a Celoci dos Santos, 45 anos, e a Vera Padilha, 62 anos. É a primeira vez que a Prefeitura ajuda nossa entidade. Estou muito feliz”, destaca. A Secretaria Municipal de Educação também enviou fogão, freezer, mesas e eletrodomésticos que estavam em desuso para a Casa da Sopa, entidade cadastrada junto à Prefeitura. Também estava presente Adilino Inácio de Sá (Parreira), presidente da Associação dos Moradores do Jardim Castelo. No total, foram arrecadados quatro toneladas de alimentos, que serão entregues a 20 entidades cadastradas. Esta foi a segunda entidade que recebeu os alimentos. Foram entregues: açúcar, arroz, farinha de trigo, café, farinha de milho, sal, massa, feijão e óleo.
