No dia 20 de novembro, policiais militares do 18°BPM receberam uma homenagem da Câmara de Vereadores, sendo agraciados com diploma de reconhecimento pelos excelentes serviços prestados à comunidade viamonense. No dia 18 de novembro é comemorado o Dia da Brigada Militar. O ato de iniciativa do vereador Maninho Fauri, contou com a presença de autoridades locais e representantes da comunidade. O comandante do 18°BPM, Major Feliú, fez o uso da palavra enaltecendo e agradecendo a homenagem prestada, onde destacou que o trabalho desenvolvido pelos policiais com uma metodologia de aproximação com a comunidade tem dado resultados positivos, tendo essa integração, de certa forma, rompido alguns paradigmas e colaborado para um avanço da segurança pública da cidade. O presidente da Câmara, Francinei Bonatto (PSDB), disse que a homenagem é uma forma de reconhecimento pelos serviços prestados ao longo dos anos no município e a dedicação que os profissionais têm com a população, trazendo mais segurança e proteção. Os policiais militares agraciados com a Moção de Louvor foram: 1° sargento Rangel; 1° sargento Dos Santos; 3° sargento Ubiratã; 3° sargento Figueiró; soldado Maurício e soldado Jorge.
