Além disso, incentiva a separação correta e a reciclagem como alternativa para a geração de emprego e renda no município. Cada estudante recebeu uma cartilha e foi convidado a ser um protagonista na sua rua e denunciar quando ver alguém contribuindo para focos de lixo. “Temos a coleta domiciliar regularmente, contamos com mais de 200 pontos de descarte de lixo seco em prédios públicos, escolas e unidades de saúde. Hoje, limpamos, mas amanhã o lixo volta para as ruas. Precisamos da colaboração de todos para que nossa cidade permaneça limpa”, explica o vice-prefeito e secretário de Obras e Serviços Públicos, Valdir Elias, o Russinho, na visita que fez à EMEF Evaldo Maia dos Santos, no dia 5 de abril.
“Uma cidade limpa é responsabilidade de todos. Uma cidade limpa é uma cidade saudável, livre de doenças causadas por insetos e animais que procuram estas áreas para procriarem. No lugar onde existem focos de lixo, a Prefeitura está intervindo, retirando o lixo e fazendo o plantio de mudas de árvores nativas e placas de conscientização”, destacou o secretário de Meio Ambiente, Gilberto Fraga, em visita à EMEF Acrísio Prates (São Brás), na quarta-feira, dia 4.
