Na última sexta-feira, o governador do Estado José Ivo Sartori, o prefeito André Pacheco, o vice-prefeito Valdir Elias, o presidente executivo do Grupo Oleoplan, holding da operação da Enerplan, Irineu Boff, do parque do complexo eólico de Viamão participaram da cerimônia de inauguração do Complexo Eólico Pontal. Foram investidos R$ 330 milhões para a viabilização do parque, cujo potencial poderá atingir os R$ 600 milhões, trazendo benefícios sociais na geração de emprego, renda e distribuição de energia limpa. O complexo eólico conta, atualmente, com 25 aerogeradores, totalizando 59,8 MW de capacidade. De acordo com o presidente executivo do Grupo Oleoplan, holding da operação da Enerplan, Irineu Boff, os parques do complexo eólico de Viamão irão possibilitar que mais de cem mil toneladas de CO2 – gás causador do efeito estufa – deixem de ser injetados na atmosfera. Entre as inúmeras autoridades estavam presentes, o deputado Juvir Costella, Glademir de Moura Sarico, o vereador Francinei Bonatto, o presidente da OAB Viamão, Nilson Pinto, o presidente da ACIVI, Altair Cantini, o presidente e vice da Coopernorte Jailton e Paulo Rocha respectivamente, o ex-prefeito Valdir Bonatto, além do secretário de Agricultura e Abastecimento, Carlos Remi Pacheco, do Desenvolvimento Econômico, Maurício Carravetta, do Meio Ambiente, Gilberto Fraga, e de Planejamento, Urbanismo e Habitação, Ubirajara Camargo. O governador do Estado, José Ivo Sartori, lembrou do tempo em que morou em Viamão e disse estar muito feliz. “O vento simboliza uma mudança de realidade para a região e um novo momento para geração de energia sustentável”, falou Sartori. O prefeito André Pacheco ressaltou que os recursos investidos no município contribuem para o desenvolvimento do Estado. “Viamão está crescendo e se desenvolvendo e isso está repercutindo na região e no Estado. Estamos abertos a parcerias e melhorias para avançarmos ainda mais na cidade e no Estado”, explanou Pacheco.

– A capacidade total de energia da Central Pontal é de ao redor de 200.000 MWh ano;
– As linhas de transmissão possuem 44 km já construídos pela Enerplan, já prevendo assim, expansão futura do complexo;
– A energia gerada pelos três parques é suficiente para o consumo de 140 mil residências, abastecendo em torno de 320 mil pessoas. Considerando que Viamão tem uma população de 240 mil pessoas, o excedente de consumo é injetado e usado por habitantes de outros municípios vizinhos;
– A subestação denominada de Viamão 3 – da TESB, empresa controlada pela CEEE-GT – onde os parques se conectam – está integrada com o SIN – Sistema Interligado Nacional / Região Sul;
– O Complexo Eólico Pontal da Enerplan teve o apoio do BNDES, BADESUL e Governo do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul.
