A Câmara de Viamão realizou na quarta-feira (17), uma audiência pública com a proposta de discutir a valorização do Meio Ambiente junto com as entidades representativas importantes para umbanda, quimbanda, nação e demais religiões afro do município. Autoridades políticas e religiosos se reuniram no plenário Tapir Rocha, com a ideia de criar em Viamão, um local para oferendas e ritos religiosos. A iniciativa do debate foi do gabinete do vereador Dilamar de Jesus (PSB) com apoio da presidência da Câmara Municipal de Viamão. Francinei Bonatto (PSDB), chefe do Poder Legislativo, fez a abertura da audiência e considerou um momento importante para a umbanda e cultos afros.
“Tenho certeza que essa audiência será um momento de discussões intensas e que, sem dúvidas, trarão resultados em um futuro não tão longo para a sociedade, em ações e conhecimentos”, disse Francinei Bonatto. O vereador Dilamar de Jesus lembrou que o encontro só aconteceu, após o pedido de algumas entidades do município. “Uma de nossas metas na noite de hoje, é viabilizar uma área para os ritos religiosos em Viamão”, explicou Dilamar. O vereador Evandro Rodrigues (PSDB), que também acompanhou a reunião, garante que a união é o primeiro passo.
“Se todos nós, independente de lado, caminharmos juntos, ali na frente teremos os resultados que queremos. Hoje é o primeiro passo”, falou o vereador. O vice-prefeito de Viamão, Valdir Elias Russinho colocou a Prefeitura à disposição do grupo de trabalho. “Queremos ouvir as entidades, colaborar e atender as reivindicações”, finalizou Russinho.
